User Data Deletion Instructions

Last updated: May 2026

my-village.ie respects your privacy. This page explains how you can request deletion of your account and associated personal data, including data received through Facebook / Meta integrations.

Who can use this process

Any person who has created an account on my-village.ie, connected a Facebook or Meta account for publishing, or otherwise provided personal data to us may request deletion.

What we delete

When we process a valid deletion request, we will:

  • Deactivate and delete your user account where applicable
  • Remove profile information and content you posted under your account, subject to moderation and backup cycles
  • Disconnect and delete Facebook / Meta integration data, including connected social accounts, OAuth tokens, and stored page tokens where applicable
  • Remove or anonymise other personal data we no longer need to retain

Data we may retain

Some records may be retained where legally required or permitted, including invoices, payment records, fraud-prevention logs, security records, and accounting or tax records. Where retention is required, we limit data to what is necessary and protect it appropriately.

How to request deletion

Email us from the address linked to your account (or explain how we can identify your account) and include “Data deletion request” in the subject line.

Email: support@my-village.ie

We may ask you to confirm your identity before completing the request. Deletion will normally be completed within 30 days of verification.

Facebook / Meta users

If you connected Facebook or Meta to publish content through my-village.ie, submitting a deletion request to us will also trigger removal of the associated connection data on our platform. You may also remove the app from your Facebook settings; we will still honour deletion requests sent directly to us.
