Subscription services for enhanced features

3. User Accounts

You retain ownership of content you submit (business listings, club profiles, event details, images, etc.). By submitting content, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, display, reproduce, and distribute your content on the Platform.

You agree that your content will not:

Infringe on intellectual property rights
Contain false, misleading, or deceptive information
Include offensive, defamatory, or discriminatory material
Contain spam, malware, or harmful code

5. Subscriptions and Payments

5.1 Subscription Plans

We offer various subscription plans (Business, Club, Villager, Event listings). Pricing and features are displayed on the Platform and may change with notice.

5.2 Payment Terms

Subscriptions are billed in advance on a recurring basis
Payments are processed securely by Stripe
All prices include VAT where applicable
You authorize us to charge your payment method for recurring fees

5.3 Cancellation and Refunds

See our Subscription & Cancellation Policy for details on cancellations and refunds. Generally, fees are non-refundable except as required by Irish or EU consumer law.

6. Prohibited Activities

You agree not to:

Use the Platform for any illegal purpose
Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems
Interfere with or disrupt the Platform's operation
Use automated tools (bots, scrapers) without permission
Collect user data without consent
Engage in fraudulent or deceptive practices
Harass, abuse, or harm other users

7. Intellectual Property

The Platform, including its design, code, logos, and content (excluding user-generated content), is owned by my-village.ie and protected by Irish and international intellectual property laws.

9. Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability

9.2 User Content Disclaimer

We do not verify the accuracy of user-submitted listings or content. Users are responsible for evaluating businesses, clubs, and events before engaging with them.

9.3 Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by Irish law, my-village.ie shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Platform. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless my-village.ie, its officers, directors, and employees from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including legal fees) arising from:

Your use of the Platform
Your violation of these Terms
Your content or listings
Your violation of any third-party rights

11. Termination

You may close your account at any time by contacting us or using account settings.
