Subscription & Cancellation Policy

1. Subscription Types
my-village.ie may offer the following subscription options:
- Business subscription: monthly recurring fee (€15.00 per month).
- Club subscription: monthly recurring fee (€12.50 per month).
- Villager subscription: monthly recurring fee (€2.00 per month).
- Event listing: a one-off fee per event (VAT applied).
Exact prices and offerings may change and will be clearly displayed on the platform at the time of purchase.
2. Billing & Payments
- Subscriptions are billed in advance for each billing period (e.g. monthly).
- Event listing fees are typically charged once per listing.
- All payments are processed securely by Stripe.
- We do not store full credit card details on our own servers.
3. Automatic Renewal
- Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period.
- You can cancel your subscription at any time before the next renewal date.
- By continuing to use a subscription, you authorise recurring charges to your payment method.
4. Cancellation
You can cancel your subscription through your account settings (where available) or by contacting us.
- Cancellations take effect at the end of the current billing period.
- After cancellation, your paid features may remain active until that period ends.
- Once the period ends, access to paid features may be removed or limited.
5. Refunds
In general, subscription and listing fees are non-refundable. However, we will review requests in line with Irish and EU consumer law. In cases of technical error or duplicate billing, please contact us as soon as possible.
6. Failed Payments
- If a payment fails, Stripe may automatically retry the charge.
- If payment cannot be completed, we may pause or restrict access to paid features.
- You can update your payment details to restore access.
7. Changes to Pricing & Plans
We may update our pricing and plan structure from time to time. Any changes will be communicated in advance where required, and will generally apply from your next billing period.
